Operations & Digital Storytelling Coordinator

Art Sprouts, Inc. dba Kolovita
Bend, Oregon (on-site for onboarding; hybrid/remote possible after probation)
Part-time: 10–20 hours/week (with room to grow)
Compensation: $20/hour · W-2 employee
Reports to: Mila Shelehoff, Executive Director


Who is Kolovita

Kolovita is where culture becomes care.

The Role

We’re looking for a steady, capable Operations & Digital Storytelling Coordinator to support day-to-day nonprofit operations, financial systems, and digital communications.

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Works independently and follows through
  • Brings care and precision to financial and operational work
  • Understands that good systems make space for meaningful culture
  • Can hold both spreadsheets and stories with respect
     

You’ll work closely with the Executive Director and help keep the circle turning smoothly.


What You’ll Do

Operations & Administration

  • Support scheduling, coordination, and communications
  • Assist with grant applications, reporting, and compliance
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for partners and collaborators

Finance & Bookkeeping (Essential)

  • Work in QuickBooks Online (training available if needed)
  • Manage invoicing, payroll, and basic budgeting
  • Prepare monthly reports for state contracts
  • Maintain clean, transparent financial records

Digital Marketing & Outreach (Essential)

  • Manage social media and email communications
    (Meta/Facebook, Mailchimp, Canva, GoDaddy Website Builder)
  • Help develop clear, warm, engaging digital content
  • Support outreach and partnership communications

Who You Are

  • A self-starter who takes responsibility and finishes what you begin
  • Trustworthy with financial and operational details
  • Comfortable working independently in a small, values-driven organization
  • Fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian (required)
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Experienced with basic accounting and nonprofit admin
  • Confident using Google Workspace and digital tools

Work Structure

  • On-site during onboarding and probation (3 months)
  • Hybrid/remote possible after probation
  • Part-time to start, with potential for expanded hours
  • Long-term collaboration preferred
  • Professional development supported (COCC training available)
